Addis Transformer & Switchgears PLC is a leading company in Ethiopia, specializing in the manufacturing of transformers and switchgears.

ATS ventured in to transformer manufacturing in 2011 to reduce its dependency on transformer manufacturers for deliveries and quality. Today ATS is an Ethiopian Electricity Utility certified plant for Design, Manufacturing and Supply of Power and Distribution transformers with installed capacity to manufacture approximately 3600 plus transformers of various ratings annually in distribution and Medium Power range and Compact Substations to manufacture approximately 200 plus of various ratings annually. ATS has capability to manufacture Transformers, Compact Substations, Electrical Panel boards, HV & LT Switchgears. ATS Transformer manufacturing unit has the credibility of good quality products supply to various utility sectors, which are currently installed across Ethiopia. In the last decade, ATS has mastered the art of mass production, which is now the core strength of the company. Complete Backward integration for key input materials along with continuous efforts in automation of various process lines has improved the efficiency of delivering identical transformers in multiples of hundred with consistent quality.
